Hands-on Learning never tasted so good! The Junior Science Association’s visit to the Midigama Fruit Farm was a ‘fruitful’ one, where they learned all about identifying plants, making compost and a whole lot more.
What a joy it was to celebrate Christ’s birth and ring in the Christmas season at the Primary School Carol Service on the 4th of December, and the Upper School Carol Service on the 6th of December.
What a memorable day of celebrations it was, as we marked the 158th Anniversary of the school! We recall with gratitude, the humble beginnings of the school in 1866, under the visionary leadership of Ms. Catherine Scott
29th November 2024 was a special day, as we were able to celebrate our girls who had achieved sporting greatness in 2023 and 2024, through the Colours Nite and Sports Awards Ceremony, held at the Methodist College Auditorium.
What an unforgettable Children’s Day celebration it was on the 1st of October, as the teachers put on “A Class Act”, a variety entertainment programme, for the girls!
The Annual Inter House Swimming Meet was held on Saturday 12th October, at the Thurstan College Swimming Pool. The event was graced by Ms. Minoshala Nissanka (Swimming Captain 2008, Games Vice Captain 2010 and Games Captain 2011) as the Chief Guest.
They say nostalgia never goes out of style... and our Senior Choir proved that perfectly! “Nostalgic Notes” which was held on the 28th of September at the Methodist College Auditorium, was a musical journey through time that relived the magic of the 80s and 90s!
