Educational Support Units
The Primary School Education Support Unit (better known as ‘The Rainbow Room’) and the Upper School Education Support Unit seek to identify and support students who require personalised academic support. Students with learning difficulties and other intellectual disabilities benefit from the guidance of a team of experienced teachers, including a Speech Therapist. Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) are prepared for each student to help them achieve goals tailored to their capacities.
Inclusive learning is prioritised at Methodist College, ensuring that students who are part of the Education Support Unit spend adequate time in their mainstream classes, learning and growing with their peers.

Information Technology is offered as a subject for Grades 1 through 14, with students receiving theoretical and practical knowledge weekly at the IT Laboratories in school. These air-conditioned spaces are well equipped with desktop setups, projectors and whiteboards for effective teaching and learning.

TV Room
The Primary School TV Room functions as a learning space where teachers are able to supplement lessons with video content and presentations on a regular basis.
Libraries
Both the Primary and Upper School Libraries are spaces for knowledge to grow and imagination to run riot, with books of multiple genres being available for borrowing and reference. The Libraries are open to students during school hours for reading and quiet revision.

Science Laboratories
The Science Laboratories at Methodist College are a safe hub for experiential learning, providing students with the opportunity to explore the world of science beyond the confines of their textbooks. The five laboratories are fully equipped to accommodate students in Grades 6 to 13 for their Science practicals, providing a space to not just stimulate their curiosity, but prepare them for advanced STEM-related studies and careers they may wish to pursue in the future.

Sports Resources
Netball Court
The Netball Court at Methodist College, which has faithfully served generations of Methoites who have played the game, is used for weekly netball practices, inter-house netball matches and inter-school friendly matches (as well as the occasional cricket match or two after exams!)
The court is also used by the netball team of the MC OGA after school hours whenever they are preparing for a tournament, making it a timelessly welcoming space for both present and past Methoites.
Basketball Court
The Basketball Court, the refurbishment of which was completed in early 2025 with the support of the MC OGA, is the perfect space for the girls to practice their shots during weekly basketball practices.
Wellbeing
Sick Room
The Sick Room at Methodist College is a dedicated space for students who feel unwell to rest, receive first aid, or be monitored by the School Nurse until they are well enough to return to class or be picked up by a parent or guardian. It is equipped with necessary medical supplies and beds to provide care and manage health needs during school hours.
Counselling Room
The counselling room at Methodist College is a comfortable space dedicated to facilitate confidential, focused and therapeutic discussions between the student and counsellor. The school counsellors, Mrs. Inoka Wickremesinghe and Ms. Sheril Manoharan, share between them the experience and know-how to wisely handle issues faced by the teenagers of today and help them navigate their emotions.
Students who wish to meet with a counsellor may make an appointment at the School Office.
