Student Leadership
Methodist College has a 1500+ strong student body comprising girls aged 5 to 19 years, hailing from all walks of life. To the early missionaries, academic study alone was not enough – they set up high ideals for the girls to follow. The staunchest of Methodist values are taught here, now, as in the days of the missionaries – a non-ostentatious, simple lifestyle marked by humility, tolerance, caring for others, sharing, service and learning. The teachings of Christ form the bedrock of this approach to life. These have moulded several generations of girls who have passed through the portals of Methodist College and continue to shine brightly today.

School Committee
The School Committee of Methodist College is led by the Head Prefect, and comprises Junior and Senior Prefects, as well as the Games Captain and Games Vice Captain. Together, they are responsible for maintaining an orderly, supportive environment within the school community.
Their duties are diverse in nature, ranging from daily supervision of students at assembly and school dismissal, to assisting with both intra and inter school events. They carry out all responsibilities diligently, ensuring that orderliness among students is maintained in any setting.
House Captains & House Vice Captains
The 6 House Captains, with the support of their Vice Captains, play a vital role in leading their respective houses in all inter-house activities and boosting morale throughout the year. They carry out these responsibilities with pride, encouraging the students to give their very best for their houses and inspiring them to find their potential while performing in multiple fields.
Sports Captains and Vice Captains
The Captains and Vice Captains of sports in Methodist College, appointed in recognition of their contribution to their respective sports, have the task of overseeing the smooth conduct of all sports practices and events. They liaise with and assist the Games Captain during preparations for intra- and inter-school meets and matches, being an active part of the proceedings throughout to ensure the success of all events.
Primary School Prefects
Prefects in the Primary School are chosen in Grade 5 on a termly basis, with every batch of Prefects having the main tasks of monitoring and maintaining discipline amongst the students, especially during and after morning assembly. As young leaders, they are expected to model behaviour that younger students can emulate, which gives them the opportunity to develop both character and leadership skills.
