The Old Girls’ Association (OGA), since its establishment in 1919, has since developed into an organisation that takes a keen and devoted interest in the welfare of the school, supporting with scholarships for students as well as fundraising for new buildings and refurbishment projects, the most recent of which have been the Basketball Court and Hostel Washrooms.

In addition to giving back to school, the OGA provides endless opportunities to reconnect with schoolmates, build new connections and occasionally engage in some friendly competition, through multiple events organised throughout the year – annual outings, dinner dances and sports events such as the ‘Battle of the Queens’ Inter-OGA Annual Cricket Encounter, Inter-OGA Netball tournaments and MC OGA Inter-House Sports Days to relive the glory days!

Metho Cantanti, the official Methodist College OGA Choir, actively partakes in events throughout the year, with the annual College Service being a highlight in the choir’s calendar.

The chance to work and connect with past MCites across batches brings everyone together in true school spirit, creating bonds that last a lifetime. The Methodist College OGA also strives to strengthen ties beyond the borders of Sri Lanka, with OGA branches having been established in London, Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto and Dubai.
